SOUTHPORT NOTES WEEK 1037

The following has been noted this week
Arriva NORTH WEST Skelmersdale Depot, working on route 385 on Friday were 3026/47 and ‘new’ 4063 (T303FGN)

Stagecoach RIBBLE noted working on route 2 from Preston on Friday morning was 16327


As noted in the Preston Blog 15466 has been reregistered,
REILLY (MAGHULL COACHES) noted on the ‘Schools Bath’s Bus’ on Friday was DEM784Y and BIG2094 & 2095


CUMFYBUS quite a few of the Milleneum single deckers are running round with no number or destination blinds ether fitted or working, one Olympian is still in use, with H551GKX being seen on Friday also


ACE TRAVEL are still working the City Sightseeing tour using S855DGX, this tour is due to finish on Saturday 25 Th.A preserved Bedford OB was noted in Hesketh Bank on Saturday, being SUNNYHOLME COACHES DUD 522

PRESTON ON TUESDAY 13 & WEDNESDY 14 SEPTEMBER

Noted passing the Capitol Centre at Walton le Dale at 13.30 were Stagecoach Darts 33164 & 33165 (Kendle depot) and Preston Bus Olympians 14563 & 14564, all had trade plates, the PB vehicles were devoid of lettering
Morcambe depot Trident 17018 is now allocated to Chorley and was noted working on route 125
Preston depot Enviro 400 15466 has been reregistered PX58EXK

PRESTON BUS Scania Single deck 28513 was noted back in service on Monday, this photo was taken on  Tuesday
Preston Bus had ex Lothian Olympians 14541 & 14542 in the bus Station at tea time

On Wednesday morning Solo 47784 had to be towed in from Fishergate Hill bus lane

BRADSHAW (G-LINE) Blackpool had YN10EOB on an excursion passing through the bus station at tea time also

and seen on Wednesday was YJ09CYG

SOUTHPORT THIS WEEK, week1036

Not a lot to report now the Atlantean has finished on the open top tour, although Ace Travel are still working the City Sightseeing tour, and this produced a nice suprise on Wednesday with the apperance of Metrobus KYV720X

S850DGX was in service on Thursday



REILLY (MAGHULL COACHES) had the star vehicle in this week with former M.P.T.E. / MERSEYBUS / M.T.L. Atlantean DEM784Y working on the K.G.V. Contract  and Schools Baths on Thursday
Stagecoach produced Coach 52414 on route X2 on Friday evening due to the booked vehicle having a defective headlight, No photo I'm afraide as I was riding on it
Due to a desasterouis Fire at the Kingsway building route PR1, and CS tour were rerouted on Tuesday and Wednesday, the building was being 'made safe' on Wednesday it was being pulled down!

SOUTHPORT THIS WEEK 1035

Hi All,
this is my new blog I hope the info it contains will be of interest.
Bus happenings in Southport this week
A 'new' allocation to report this week is Vo B6BLE 2812, this bus has an electronic destination display but is in the old style livery, it was first noted on Wednesday,
The open top service provided by Arriva ended on Friday with 3980 seen in service on the last day
Other interesting buses to note this week was a 'new' vehicle working with Fairway a Solo M880SL MX08MYY seen working route 319 on Thursday, there is another normal width Solo also with this operator which was seen in Ormskirk on Wednesday on Route 319.
an unusual vehicle working on routes 47/48A on Friday was B6BLE 2819 which was photographed just after replacing a defective Pulsar
Arriva have now moved into their new office accommodation on Eastbank Street, which is adjacent to the bus stops at the Wellington Hotel, and was the old Yorkshire Bank premises, they had to vacate 1 Eastbank Street due to the reconstruction works at the Library and Arts Centre
